Courtyard meeting: At the courtyard meeting held on the date 22.08.2022. Teghuria union under Keraniganj Upazila Ms. Roksana Begum said that I have been married for 5 years and my husband married two more before my marriage, we knew nothing about keeping it a secret. Now I have three children in my house, My husband and mother in law beat me out of the house and sent divorce papers. I want to get my child support so I want to get legal help through the District Legal Aid Office.
Bi-monthly meeting: The UPLAC monthly meeting was held on the date 21.8.2022 Mr. Md. Parvesh Dewan, Chairman of Pathalia union under Savar Upazila and President Union Legal Aid Committee said that today I learned about the Legal Aid support issue so Information is power, we will continue our monthly meeting, the more awareness campaign meetings will doing others union, school and collages, Bazar samity and you can also aware madrasha and masjid committee about this issue and distribution awareness materials and the helpline 16430 number.
Miking on Legal Aid: In the Miking on Legal aid held on the date 22.08.2022 Mr. Rejwan Amin, Union Day care Officer, Ashulia Union Parishad under Savar Upazila Dhaka, Said that the women of our union are victims of various tortures, they cannot litigate due to lack of money. I was very happy to hear the miking of the Ashulia union's legal aid issue. Those who listen to miking in the area will also take legal services through the District Legal Aid Office. It is a very good initiative.
Public Hearing: Joining in the Public Hearing event on the date 24.08.2022, Sombhag Union under Dhamrai Upazila, Dhaka, Ms. Morium Begum (37), my hasbent name: Md. Dinesh Ali asked the learned District Legal Aid Panel Lawyer of Dhaka said that my husband's land has been in dispute for a long time. Currently my husband is staying abroad. As a result of the dispute, on 29/ 6/2022 at night about 8:30 p.m the defendant barged into my house with a stick and started abusing me in foul language. I didn't stop them from abusing me and my boy’s md. mizanur rahman(17), they kept beating ours and threatened to kill. We have made a general diary in the police station about this matter “How can we get help from the District Legal Aid office? In response to the question, a representative of the District Legal Aid Office, learned the District Legal Aid Panel Advocate said that so come with your son with your detailed land related copy as a BS & RS porcha, Khajna and Mutation paper to the District Legal Aid Office, Dhaka. It was decided that on Tuesday (30.08.2022) they would come to the District League office for all proper land related documents. In the public hearing session, the issues that the justice seekers discussed with the District Legal Aid Panel Advocate and to participate in the public hearing session were related to Land Dispute, Dowry, a Cheating Case, and Separation/Divorce in the hearing session (see the table below).
